LOUISVILLE, Ky., Oct. 27, 2015 – The Louisville Lizards have been missing the presence of Dallas wide receiver, Dez Bryant, and Pittsburgh quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger for over four weeks now. After several weeks of recovery, both players look ready to take the field in week eight.
Dez Bryant suffered a broken foot in week one against the New York Giants, causing him to sit out 6-8 weeks. After a slow and steady seven week recovery process, Dez Bryant was able to return to the practice field Monday with limited action. Dallas Cowboys owner, Jerry Jones, is confident in Bryant’s return on Sunday.
“Dez is a tough guy. He’s used to getting hit around and taking a little damage. It comes with the job,” said Jerry Jones
Ben Roethlisberger injured his left knee against the Rams in week three, benching him for four weeks. Big Ben has been practicing consistently with the team and appears to be in healthy shape for Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
“The knee is feeling stronger and stronger every day. Our trainers are going to keep an eye on it, but I am ready to play on Sunday,” said quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
The Louisville Lizards have been on a three game win streak and plan to improve their record to 5-2 in week eight with the addition of Dez Bryant and Ben Roethlisberger.
The Louisville Lizards aim to produce a winning product on the field while building positive relationships with the Louisville community and Lizard fans worldwide. Please contact skoln2ja@dukes.jmu.edu or call (434) 962-0732 with any questions or comments.
