The Louisville Lizards bounced back from a 43.86-point deficit on Sunday night, sneaking by the Las Vegas Luck 185.92 to 179.40. Not to mention, they put up the second-highest point total in the league this week. The Lizards come into Week 7 with high morale and look to improve their three-game winning streak this week versus the Orlando Oranges.
DEZ BRYANT UPDATE: Dez Bryant has been out since week one with a broken foot against the New York Giants. He has been out for five weeks. Last season Bryant led all wide receivers with 16 touchdowns and 1,320 receiving yards. With Week 7 approaching, Bryant hopes to return for a rematch against the New York Giants in Week 7.
HOPKINS HOPS TO THE TOP: DeAndre Hopkins has earned recognition as a top receiver in the league. Hopkins was on fire in Sunday’s win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. He made 10 catches for 148 yards and two touchdowns, giving him at least 100 receiving yards in each of his last four games.
PURE LUCK: Andrew Luck had a remarkable first game back from his shoulder injury on Sunday. He completed 30 of his 50 passes for 312 yards, three touchdowns, and four carries. Though the Colts fell short 34-27 to the Patriots, it looks like the luck is back for Luck, showing no sign of his injury.
BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH: Though the month of October is near the end, The Lizards first annual PINKOUT game is this weekend. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, during the game 50 percent profit from all concessions will go towards local and national charities. Prior to the game, free pink shirts with the team’s logo will be awarded to every fan. The team, coaching staff and entire Louisville community hopes to spread awareness about this common cancer.
