LOUISVILLE, Ky., Oct. 18, 2015 – The Louisville Lizards won their second straight game defeating the Los Angeles Legends 181-163 on Monday October 12. Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton collected 44 fantasy points and New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman had 22 fantasy points for the Lizards.
Dalton threw for 331 yards, had two passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown in the Bengals 27-24 win against Seattle. Edelman had 120 receiving yards and a touchdown in the Patriots 30-6 win at Dallas. Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler threw for 252 yards and two touchdowns racking up 22 fantasy points in helping the Bears beat Kansas City.
The Lizards continue to battle injury issues. Louisville was without Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger last week due to a knee injury. Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant is still out with a foot injury. Indianapolis Colts quarterback, Andrew Luck is still out with a right shoulder injury.
The Lizards scored the most fantasy points this past week while Edelman collected the most fantasy points by a wide receiver throughout the week.
Edelman has been a consistent performer all season as he has 399 receiving and three touchdowns. “I’m just trying to improve,” Edelman said. “Coach Belichick has been in the league for a long time. To see how he works, relentlessly still harder and harder every year, you see that, you’re naturally going to want to do that and try to get better every week. That is what I try to do,” Edelman said in regards to coach Belichick’s work ethic and how that has influenced him.
