Daytona, FL (December 8th, 2014) – The Daytona Dingleberries had an awesome game yesterday over the Las Vegas Scorpions with a final score of 118.66 to 61.38. This win over the Scorpions gives hope to the Dingleberries in the league playoffs, especially after their last game which resulted in a loss to the Harrisonburg Valley Bees, dropping them to number 7 overall in the SCOM Fantasy Classic League. However, despite their loss, and with the help of Kicker Dan Bailey’s end-game winning kick giving them the lead over the Scorpions. The Dingleberries overall record now is 7-7, and are hopeful in their next game.
Despite the pickup of Dan Herron, who’s projected points equal 10.40 overall and their recent cut of Alfred Blue who only projected a low 1.20 points, both teams have stood pat on their lineup since Thursday. In order to secure their standing in next week’s game, the Dingleberries might be smart and start Percy Harvin (16.40 projected points) over DeSean Jackson (9.20 projected points) considering Jackson was the only player to not score into the double digits this game.
Head Coach Colin Peck commented on this great game, stating “This was just what we needed to ensure ourselves that the playoffs were in our reach. Last week was definitely throwing us for a spin, we weren’t sure if we could keep it together during this game, but we worked hard, played smart, and dug our feet into the dirt to make this happen, and we couldn’t be happier.”
With this game closing out the Dingleberries season positively, and the playoffs only a few weeks away, there is hope in the air in Daytona, FL for both the players and their respective fans.
