TUSCALOOSA, AL (Oct. 26, 2014)— During week 8 of the 2014 Fantasy Classic season the Tuscaloosa Top Guns scored a whopping 151.34 points against the Fort Lauderdale Flyers, who scored a mere 97.56 points. As a result, the Top Guns have moved up a rank in the league’s standings, bringing them to seventh place. The Fort Lauderdale Flyers now sit right below them in eighth place.
It was an extremely impressive weekend for the Tuscaloosa Top Guns. Emmanuel Sanders put up 30.60 points, Antonio Gates earned 17.40, and Nick Novak’s 3 points gave the Tuscaloosa Top Guns a 51.00 point advantage over the Fort Lauderdale Flyers.
The Top Guns squad shined in all areas on the field this weekend. Quarterback, Nick Foles proved himself to be a solid trade, earning the team an impresive 36.84 points. The Dolphins Defense held their own as well, receiving 26 points for the team. Matt Forte, running back, excelled once again scoring 25.80 points. He has exceeded 20 points or more for the past 4 games now.
“Forte has not only impressed us with his abilities but with his consistency as well,” Sean Shabazian, running back coach said. “He has proved to be one of our most valuable and reliable players.”
Consistency is something Forte personally aims for. However, he knows it’s not a one-man show. In order to be successful the whole team must contribute and perform each and every game.
Forte commented on the game stating, “It’s not a secret formula to winning games or how we play well. We just have to play consistently like when we’ve won the games that we have won.”
The Tuscaloosa Top Guns will have a chance to perform this well again and prove themselves next week when they face off against the 4th ranked Los Angeles Rams.
