LOS ANGELES, Ca (Oct. 21, 2014)– It was an all-around good week for the LA Rams, as the blew out the Tallahassee Tigers 151.62-77.50. The stellar performance was lead by the quarterback and team captain, Peyton Manning, who threw for 318 yards and 4 touchdowns. Entering the game Manning had thrown 506 career TDs, which ranked second all-time behind Brett Favre’s 508 mark set back in 2010. It only took Manning two quarters to throw his record-setting 509th touchdown.
“We are very proud of Peyton’s accomplishment. It’s going to be a long time before we see someone of his caliber again.” said Rams head coach John Harbaugh after the game.
On top of Manning’s strong performance, the Los Angeles Rams received strong performances from the running game. Newly acquired RB Ronnie Hillman had a standout performance, rushing for 79 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Tigers countered with Arian Foster, who ran for over 100 yards, but this was not enough to turn the tide against the powerful Rams rushing and passing game.
With the win, the Rams improve to 4-3 and moved up to 4th in the league. They face a tough matchup next week as they face the top-ranked Columbia Kings.
