Lumberjacks Off the Field

PORTLAND, ORE.- (October 7, 2013) The Portland Lumberjacks will be hosting “Fall Fun Day” on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013. The entire team, coaching staff, and all fans will plant to replenish the trees in three of Oregon’s parks.

Join the team from noon until 3:00 pm in Arbor Lodge Park, Kenton Park, and Northgate Park the community will be able to plant a tree and help Portland keep the name of being one of the “greenest” cities in the nation. For each person who participates in planting a tree, they will receive a free ticket to the next game.

All personnel of the Portland Lumberjacks will be attending. According to general manager Lukas Milhailovich, “Being a new team in the area, replenishing the parks will unite us with the community and give us a sense of our new home.” Milhailovich wants the team to become more involved with the community. In addition, the coaching staff will be present to show how strong the team is as an entire unit.

The Lumberjacks, founded in 2013, are a part of the NFL from Portland, Oregon.
