AUSTIN, TX. (Sept.30, 2013)- After three long grueling weeks of winless games, the Aardvarks have finally prevailed and came out with a victory. In a nail-biting game against the Portland Stumpers, the Aardvarks won in the final few seconds.
Darren Sproles and Tom Brady both had fantastic games. Brady completed 20-31 passes for 316 yards with two touchdowns. But the true breakout star that helped propel this victory was Sproles, who played lights out in the game. Sproles scored two touchdowns and gained 114 yards, while also adding another 28 rushing yards.
“This game truly proved that the Aardvark’s are fighters and even when down we come ready to play. And I think we finally proved ourselves today,” Quarterback Tom Brady said about the game.
The Aardvarks have a strong team, however, they have struggled in the past weeks finding the right team chemistry to come out victorious. Finally, they have come out on top and the team chemistry was stronger than ever.
With this win the Aardvarks can finally compete and show their true strengths against their next tough opponent the Honolulu Pineapples. The Pineapples are a very strong, competitive team, and it should be another great week of football here in the heart of Texas.
