McCoy Leads The High Rollers to Victory over the Austin Aardvarks

LAS VEGAS, – On Sept. 24, 2013, The Las Vegas High Rollers won their second straight game this Sunday defeating the Austin Aardvarks (0-3) by a score of 126.54 to 85.26.

Despite a rather average performance from High Roller’s quarterback Matt Ryan, Las Vegas was able to outscore their opponent handily by the efforts of running back LeSean McCoy.  McCoy led all High Rollers with 21.8 points on 158 yards and one touchdown.  “I came out strong this week and it paid off,” said McCoy.

Running back Matt Forte contributed as well with 17.1 points on 87 rushing yards, 24 receiving yards, and one touchdown, excelling the High Rollers ground game to outscore the Aardvarks’ 40.9 to 23.7.  “I just wanted to go out there and do everything I could to win,” said Forte. “This was a big momentum shifter for us today, you can feel it in the locker room.”

This win bettered the High Rollers record to 2-1 in their inaugural season, second in the standings only to the undefeated Harrisonburg Valley Bees whom they are scheduled to play in week 4. “It’s going to be a big game,” said Kelly Kapowski, High Rollers head coach. “Our fans are expecting a win and we don’t want to let them down.”
