RATTLERS FALL INLOWSCORING WEEK 8 MATCHUP
October 30, 2012–Albuquerque,NM– The Albuquerque Rattlers fell to The Memphis Porkers 90.66 to 70.34 yesterday. This was the franchise’s first lost in 5 weeks and also their lowest scoring output all season.
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers only scored 13.84 points as he went 22 of 35 for 186 yards and two touchdowns. Rodgers was unable to get anything going on the ground as he gained only 4 rushing yards on 3 attempts. The Rattlers receiving core was only able to earn 13.80 points as a unit and played a huge role in the Week 8 loss. Additionally, the highest Rattlers scoring performance came from kicker Lawrence Tynes who scored 17 points.
Maurice Jones-Drew got the start for the Rattlers however was unable to gain any fantasy points due to a foot injury that he suffered in Week 7. His game time decision start proved costly for The Rattlers and he will likely not see another start until he is at full health. The Rattlers are in an ongoing search to gain another running back and would most likely be willing to trade TE Heath Miller.
The Rattlers’ next game is on November 4th, 2012 against The Replacement Refs who are currently in 6-2 and in sole possession of 2nd place in the Intercollegiate Fantasy Football Yard League. The Rattlers are looking forward to the prospect of facing such a talented team.
