Player of the Game: Stevan Ridley
Seasiders struggle but Ridley shines in game against San Antonio Defenders
HONOLULU—October 28, 2012. This week’s player of the game for the Honolulu Seasiders was Stevan Ridley. The running back stood out as the major playmaker, carrying the ball 15 times for 127 yards and a touchdown against the San Antonio Defenders.
Honolulu and San Antonio faced a tough battle in Sunday’s game and although the Seasiders lost 58-73, Ridley had an outstanding performance.
Ridley, who broke off a 41-yard run in the game, is enjoying a breakout season. He hits the halfway mark of the season with 716 yards, fourth best in the league, and five touchdowns.
“We are really proud of his performance on Sunday. This is why we drafted Ridley, he’s consistent, reliable and can get the job done,” said General Manager Chelsea Perkins.
Honolulu will miss Ridley in Week 9, as he has a bye week, when they face Cam Hates the Replacement Refs.
