October 23rd, 2012 – Albuquerque, NM – Following yesterday’s win against Cam Hates Replacement Refs, the Albuquerque Rattlers are on a win streak of four games in a row and are now in fifth place in the Intercollegiate Fantasy Football Yard League. All of the players on the team came together to secure this important win going into the second half of the season.
The clear star of the game yesterday was quarterback Aaron Rodgers. As usual, Rodgers had a stellar game and scored 25.68 points which helped to boost the Rattlers past the Refs. In the after game press conference, GM Sarah Lahne said, “although Rodgers put up stellar points, we cannot look past the other players on our team who helped in this crucial win. Players like Vincent Jackson who score 27.60 points and the Bears Defense who scored 15 points. Without everyone on the team putting in the effort, we would not have pulled out the win.”
Although it was mostly good news yesterday for the Rattlers, there is some bad news. Running back Maurice Jones-Drew injured his foot and is out indefinitely. This adds to a large list of injuries for the Rattlers including wide receiver Greg Jennings and running back Donald Brown. The Rattlers are currently looking at trade options to gain another running back and are willing to give away one of their three tight ends; probably Heath Miller. Jones-Drew had this to say about his injury after the game: “Although the injury I received could potentially be bad, I will work my hardest to get back into game condition and get back to putting up points for the Rattlers.”
The Rattlers’ next game is on October 28th, 2012 and it is against the Memphis Porkers who are currently in 11th place in the Intercollegiate Fantasy Football Yard League. The Rattlers are asking their fans to come out to the stadium and push their team to get their fifth win in a row!
