SEASIDERS ANNOUCE COLLIE WON’T RETURN

HONOLULU, Sept. 28, 2012 – Honolulu Seasiders executives announced during a press conference at Aloha Stadium that Austin Collie would be up for trade and miss the remainder of the season due to his injury.

After missing the first two weeks of play due to concussions, Collie ruptured and tore his Achilles tendon in his first game back.

“It is unfortunate to lose him, but this is something that is unavoidable in the game,” said General Manager, Matt Graber.

This injury does make things interesting, as it is nearly impossible to trade someone who will not be able to play for the remainder of the season. With this in mind the executive’s made the decision to bench Collie for the remainder of the season and play stronger, healthier wide receivers, while they work out trade agreements.

When asked, Collie stated “This is definitely a setback for me, my contract ends at the end of the year, and if I’m not looking too good, this may sadly be the end to my career.”
