Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

2001

The Marching Royal Dukes were invited to attend the 75th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade for the first time in 2001. They performed Barry Manillow’s Copacabana and We need a Little Christmas from the Broadway musical, Mame.

Ireland Trip

December 2003

In 2003, the Marching Royal Dukes made their first tour of Ireland and were the featured band for the New Year’s celebration in Dublin.

MRDs at 1982 NFC Title Game

1982

The Dukes were the featured halftime show for the NFC title game between the Washington Redskins (now known as the Commanders) and the Dallas Cowboys.

JMU Marching Royal Dukes take the field in Bridgeforth Stadium, playing an hour-long memorable performance.
