Exploring the Parc Ivaloina was the most exciting part of our journey so far. Although the car ride turned out to be a bit longer than expected, it was well worth the wait. The day was filled with lots of little adventures including holding chameleons, meeting a troupe of red-bellied lemurs, and hiking to a water fall. We’ve returned muddy, exhausted, and incredibly happy. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and taught us all about the Rafia-Palm, which can be used to build nearly an entire house, and let us sniff a cinnamon tree. We plan on going for both night and morning hikes in the park to see nocturnal animals and birds, and whatever else we may come across.
