U.S. Senator Tim Kaine’s West Central Office, located in Roanoke, is seeking Constituent Service and Outreach Interns for the summer 2019 semester.

Students will have the opportunity to witness the daily functioning of the U.S. Senate and gain valuable experience in the field of government. Applicants should be enrolled full-time and may be paid for their work or seek college credit through the internship, depending on school policy.

Potential interns should carry strong communication skills, a minimum 3.0 GPA, and major in political science, public affairs, public policy, or other related field. Work hours and days of the week are flexible and negotiable. Applicant may commute to the office or reside in the Roanoke area.

Internships require a minimum commitment of 16 hours per week, and the most ideal candidates will be able to work certain days from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
