Heritage Museum
The Heritage Museum is eager to fill a Public History internship for the Fall Semester (2016). The Intern will contribute to the development of a small exhibition of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County homefront history during the World Wars. The completed exhibit will update permanent galleries in time for 2017 commemorations of the 100th Anniversary of World War I and the 75th Anniversary of World War II.

Working in collaboration with staff and volunteers, the Intern will be part of the exhibit process from start to finish: identifying items in the Collections (artifacts, archives, and photographs), developing exhibit content, and assisting in exhibit design and installation. Projects will include working with PastPerfect Museum Software.

The Intern will gain insight into museum management and have the opportunity to attend meetings with museum decision-makers and the Board of Trustees. Please contact Penny Imeson, Executive Director,director@heritagecenter.com.
