For my OpenSCAD final project, I decided to create a Martini glass. I was thinking long and hard about what kind of project I wanted to work on, and my eyes fell on a martini glass. I have started this project, but in order to make it worthy of a final project, I want to add some fun fruit to the sides of the glass, in order to test my skills and create new shapes and designs.
Below I have an image of the glass that I have started to create!
As I continued to work on my project, I was trying to decide what kind of toppings to add to the martini. I typically enjoy fruitier cocktails, however my attempts to create fruit such as lemon and orange slices did not go well. Those types of shapes are not easy to make in openSCAD and I really just could not figure it out. I was then going to do a lemon twist, as that is typical of martini’s, but I wanted to do something more challenging.
In order to fit these qualifications, I decided to add some olives on a stick to my martini! creating the olives and getting the angles just right was difficult, but I am really happy with how it all turned out!
