grab bag noun: I picked train for my project and I started by connecting a square to a rectangle, then adding another rectangle to the first one as the steam pipe and then a half circle on the square. At first it was hard to figure out how to line up the shapes correctly, but after some practice it got much easier. The hardest part was adding the wheels. I used tubes and put them halfway inside the bottom of the train to look like it was connected. I originally did 4 separate tubes and once I began printing I realized I could’ve done two all the way across.
20 objects: I used this project to experiment with connecting and building pieces, and some of them I tried different shapes to make one object in two ways. The back line is the robot jetpack guy with sunglasses, a wedding ring, hello, and two ice cream cones. The second line has a plant on a table, a skull wearing glasses, a couch with a cushion, a ufo, and a starfish. The ufo should seem like has a beam of light coming from underneath it. The third line is a lamp, an arcade game with a seat, a bench, a table with a sculpture on it, and christmas tree. The front line has a train, a scuba head, a smiley face with a hat I drew, a bunny head and a peace out hand. These are all blue because I connected them to move them into another plane for a clear picture. This was fun to be able to play around with different shapes and create objects you wouldn’t have thought you could make. I have a much better understanding of tinkercad after spending some time getting to know the website, and think I can make some more advanced prints.
