This is my openSCAD final project! Its a knot that I modified to widen up similar to a star. I found a video tutorial and blog posts on how to create knots on openSCAD first. This required me to first find the knot I wanted to modify (hyperbolic stick knot) and then figure out to how to modify it but make sure it stayed one continuous knot. That was the main issue I faced in this project, I needed to keep the formation continuous. For this knot you first have to define the parameters, then you can list all the points you want to include, and lastly you pick the shape. Above I used a sphere for the knot, but I played around with some other shapes that I will include below.
This first version is with the shape set as a square. This is a 2D version and shows the star shape I was going for better.
