For my final project, I was thinking of making Squidward (from Spongebob) on Tinkercad. I feel like this would be challenging to do since Tinkercad has mostly block kind of things and is hard to maneuver specifics that you would need on squidward. I was going to create him with all of his features and put a shirt on him. The shirt is going to be hard because I’m going to have to scale it to the same size as his body and make it not look block shaped, but more so the size of him.
First I made the legs and the body shape of squidward. I copy and pasted the legs and made them all touch. I then added the body on top.
To make the feet, I used a cylinder and added a stretched out sphere. I made the sphere fit the same size that the side part of the cylinder was.
This is a picture of me attaching the tentacle/feet onto the legs.
In the background, you can see Squidward’s face with his two parts of the head, his nose, and his mouth. I wanted the mouth to have a little piece sticking out because I wanted the line of his mouth to be exaggerated that it was pointing down.
The shirt was quite different difficult to make. I had to make it hollowed out by the body and size it to that. I had to add the sleeves for where the arm tentacles would extend out of.
Above is the final part. I had to create the arms with many different pieces. I had to use two cylinders and combine them with a trimmed down paraboloid to make the elbow connector. The hands are two spheres cut in half and then combined. After I combined it, I had to size it properly to fit inside the arm sleeve. This was very difficult to do but I’m happy with how it turned out.
