For this class challenge, I decided to create a flathead screw for my broken sunglasses. I measured the screw that was still intact on my sunglasses, in order to get an accurate measurement for the new screw that I designed.
The screw was 1mm in diameter at the head of the screw, and 0.5mm in diameter for the actual body of the screw. The screw was also 4mm tall, with 3.5mm of that height coming from the body of the screw and o.5mm of that height coming from the head of the screw.
I first made a screw with threads, but then I remembered that the printer can not print that fine of a thread, so I took aware the threads.
This is my screw with threads, scaled up 2mm so that you can see it better.
This is my final screw without threads, also scaled up 2mm so that it is more visible.
It took a while to do all of my measurements correctly and translate them properly into the program. But in the end, it turned out nicely!
