Fusion 360 Final Project Progress
For the Fusion 360 Final, I’ve decided to try and make a case for a Google Home that looks like BB-8. I got this idea from a design on thingiverse, and I’m going to try and replicate it on Fusion 360.
I thought this would be a good project to try because Fusion 360 has a lot of ways to create the curves, and the case resembles the rings we made for class.
Currently I have the bare bones of the project designed. I still need to add details to the BB-8 head and create a latch to attach the base to the Google Home holder. I’m having a bit of difficulty with the software still, so I’m trying to get the basics down before I get too into the design portion of it.
Finished Fusion 360 Final Project
This is the finished base of the project. I ended up attaching the flat bottom piece to the Google Home holder so that this piece might print easier. I also added on a screw piece to the top so that the head of BB-8 could be added on.
Below is the Finished version of the BB-8 head. I added a screw hole for the screw at the bottom of the head so that it could easily attach to the base.
