Dylan Vetter portfolio

\

Hi my name is Dylan Vetter, I am originally from New York, I have a passion for all kinds of sports and I am moving to DC after college.

My item out of the grab a bag was a penguin. This is how it came out, I wish it was a little better but awesome for being my first print!

These are the 20 objects that I have created over time and I hope to use these as ideas for my Final Print!

My moving part print is a mini figgit spinner that has 2 separate parts and should lock the ring in place. I had significant trouble printing this because of the weak middle but I just added the cylinder in the middle to make it more stable. Print still in process.

For my final project, I plan on making a CD/Game Disc holder case. The design is still in progress due to the fact that I am still trying to figure out how I will create hinges that will allow the case to open and close.

My fusion 360 Ring project. It is hard to see in the photo due to the size and glare but their is small circles obtruding from the outside. It fits my finger perfectly and doesn’t have any sharp edges that could make it uncomfortable.

This is the 20 object made in Fusion 360. I find this site very hard to navigate and very frustrating but allows for very advanced and detailed objects.

This is how my final tinkercad project came out. It is a CD holder with a top that clicks on and off. I love the way that it came out but I just wish the holders on the corners came out a little better but overall I’m happy with the print.

For the silly/serious challenge, Rosie and I attempted to make a maze with batman at the entrance and Jokers head at the end of it. It took much longer to print then we expected so unfortunately we didn’t get to finish but it was very close to being awesome!

I do not have Fusion on my computer at home so I am not able to show the top part of my design but it was supposed to screw on to the middle hole. I never got the chance to officially print the whole thing due to the closing of campus but I did have a pretty good idea what I was going to do. Unfortunately, even my bottom part is still on campus so i cant even use it but it was fun designing it!

This is my for loop chaos snowflake. This new application is difficult to maneuver but the coding aspect makes it easier for me since I’m a CIS major. So this new style is going to be interesting and fun to play around with.

This is my FINAL final design. I created a gum case on Tinkercad that can hold any type of gum. I decided to make this as my final design because I’m almost always chewing gum and this could be useful to me. I choose to use Tinkercad because I believe that it is the easiest application to navigate and I was the most comfortable with it. I really enjoyed this class and will never forget the creative skills that I obtained by taking on this new experience.
