At JMU, I have been a mentor for the Valley Scholars Program, a Student Supervisor at Starbucks, and currently hold a position as Research Assistant in the College of Business. Senior, Astronomy and Mathematics

My name is Alex Sanner and I am a senior Physics major with a minor in Astronomy and Mathematics. I enjoy conducting research within the physics department with Dr. Keigo Fukumura studying X-Ray absorbers in the outflows from accretion disks around black holes, as well as working at the John C. Wells Planetarium here on campus.

Rylie Tolbert

Senior, Public Policy & Administration

Hi my name is Rylie Tolbert, I am a senior Public Policy and Administration major with a concentration in Management and minor in Political Science. After graduation I am pursuing a career in Credit Sales at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York City. At JMU I am the Technology Portfolio manager of the Madison Investment Fund and I enjoy running, gardening, skiing, traveling, and hiking. I am very excited about this project because I think it an unique opportunity to create a pipeline for research that can expand across various fields of the military as well as the private sector.

problem statement

The Army Research Lab has tasked the Drill Squad with creating a pipeline to integrate the research of the lab into the training and placement of new recruits faster than it is currently being integrated.
