What intrigued me the most about the market was the many cuts of meat. They had lots of steak and fresh meat. I also saw wheels of parmesan that caught my eye. I think the main difference between the street markets and the market centrale was the professionalism of the market. However, they were similar in the way of what they sell. Specifically the fresh fruit, meats, and vegetables. The most unique thing I saw in the market was a Chinese food vender. I was really amazed at the diversity of cultures and foods that were available in the market. This visit is important to our class as we not only got to enhance our knowledge of Italian cuisine and see what daily life would be like in Florence, but we were also able to see the foods of various cultures.
