Talk about another great week of great food, thanks to not being in Rome…still can’t get over that horrid lunch. My two favorite meals were breakfast at Mamas Bakery and Indian for dinner at New Delhi Rosticceria Indiana. The last photo documents my favorite breakfast and since bagels are such a go to back in the states, it felt like come. This American Bakery has it all from (of course) bagels, coffee, baby cheesecakes, pastries, a calming vibe, and is completed with the cutest patio for outside sitting. Thank you, Eliza, from recommending this place to me, also thank you Sofia for recommending Indian to me. The Indian dinner was amazing from our fried vegetable fritters antipasti to the most flavorful chicken curry I’ve had. I hope to return to both of these places.
After coming back from Naples, I have been crazing their street food. Sadly, Florence has nothing on their fried cones. I mainly miss the fried cheesy potatoes. I noticed Naples uses more salt in their dishes, whether it is on the crust of pizza or on every piece of fried food. Naples also has much better table bread due it being softer with more of a flavor too. Last week we made carbonara pasta in cooking class, which is also the dish I had in Naples for lunch which was better. I believe this was due to our use of more parmesan cheese and the Naples dish being creamier. I’m still proud of our work though and enjoyed tasting everyone’s pasta dishes.
