Happy week 3!! This week we have a mix of both Italian and American food, and more greens. A food that took me out of my comfort zone includes the different types of meats (salami, prosciutto, etc) we tasted at the winery. This is in comparison to everything else I had this week which wasn’t food that was too much out of my comfort zone. I had a lot more American food this week since I was missing it, including a caesar salad and chicken wings. Some foods that have been my favorites are the vodka pasta and gelato. The gelato flavor I especially love is the speculoos from Sabrinos. Some foods that we made in class that I will definitely be repeating are the chicken caprese and eggplant parm. The chicken caprese was my favorite out of all the things we had in class and I will definitely be making it back at JMU. The pesto and mozzarella went really well with the chicken, and making our own bread crumbs felt more authentic.
