Was not on my A-game for taking food pictures this week; however, I enjoyed my meals more this week. I plan to take more photos next week and also posting to our @jerksinflorence tik tok page more often. Part of the reason I didn’t take as many photos was because I didn’t eat out as much and I kept making “basic” pasta and sandwiches for majority of my meals. So be prepared for at least homemade Italian fancy dish next week, comment below what you want to see! The had two incredible meals this past week, the first of which being in Siena which is seen in the third photo of pasta/bread/wine. It was from a local family ran restaurant where the kitchen was completely open. A mother-son duo made homemade pasta and sauce in front of my eyes. To say simply the best meal I’ve ever had. The second amazing meal was in Pisa and can be seen in the first photo of salmon and ricotta ravioli. We dinned in a little garden outback of the restaurant. The biggest thing I’ve picked up is to walk past the tourist areas to side streets and then find a place to eat. You get a better bang for your buck and the food is higher quality, plus you get to see the more traditional side of Italian food culture (still can’t get over the open kitchen).
So glad I got my favorite breakfast of a bagel with the fixings. But what I would do for Cheez-its and a diet coke rn…. mom if you’re seeing this bring me these in July. — p.s. I miss you
I’m seeing this and will happily bring Diet Coke and Cheez-its in July! I hope you’re scouting some amazing restaurants for us. The ravioli you got in Pisa looks amazing. I vote you make pasta carbonara!
