Had a yummy first week in Florence! I think it’s strange how the fancier restaurants have a cover charge. The concept works, but I think Americans make it easier to include gratuities in their bills. I went to Trattoria Zà Zà, where the bill included a cover fee. Although it was a finer restaurant, I thought it was overrated. I got the spaghetti carbonara and I’ve definitely had better in Florence. On the other hand, Gustapizza was amazing. I got the Mortadella with mozzarella, burrata, and chopped pistachio with ham. It was very different from the classic Americans style pizza, and I loved it! Such a yummy first week, I can’t wait to try plenty more.
