This week I tried tiramisu and cacio e pepe from a local restaurant in Florence, both of them have been the best I’ve tried so far. I also traveled to Croatia this passed weekend where I tried a raspberry margarita and beef quesadilla, and normally I’m not the biggest fan of margaritas or Mexican food but again I loved them both. I think while being here I’ve become more open to trying new foods that might be out of my comfort zone. While in Naples last week I tried a few different things, one of them being a sandwich roll with meats in it. It was very interesting and definitely not something I would’ve been able to find in Florence. It honestly felt like something I would be able to find more commonly in American than in Italy so I think thats how it differs from the kind of food I’ve been eating in Florence. I also noticed a lot more fried foods in Naples than I’ve seen in Florence. This past week I also had a chicken burger in Croatia. This is one of my favorite things to eat back home so when I saw it on the menu I knew I needed to try it, and I’m glad I did because I loved it.
