Users who hover over an orange, light blue, or gray segment receive information about the commission/s that an individual has served in, as well as the individual’s country of origin, gender, birth year, portfolio category/ies, European political party membership, and national political party membership.

Orange segments show the percentage of Commission meetings at which a commissioner was present. Users who hover over an orange segment can see the number of meetings the commissioner attended (in addition to the demographic information discussed above).

Light blue segments show the percentage of Commission meetings from which a commissioner was absent. When hovering over a light blue segment, users can see the number of meetings a commissioner missed (in addition to the demographic information).

Gray bars show the total number of Commission meetings that the commissioner had an opportunity to attend; the total number is the sum of the numbers users see when hovering over the orange and light blue segments. 

The summary dashboard provides information about the extent to which some kinds of commissioners (e.g., from certain commissions, European political parties, genders, or member-states) attend Commission meetings more frequently than others.

Filters affect all summary visualizations in the dashboard. Asterisks (*) in tool tips appear when a segment reports information on >1 commissioner.
