The Red Eagle took flight today inside the Old Dominion practice basketball gym. The Red Eagle did some basic flying maneuvers to show the flight controller was functioning properly. This is the beginning stages before we start to add cameras and other sensors on board. By testing the Red Eagle with minimal equipment on board there is minimal equipment to break. Future testing will involve a Flir Vue thermal imaging camera which is an expensive and fragile component used in our project. So with these test flights successful it give us confidence our project will be successful.
