North Korea has long been one of the most isolated and little-understood countries on earth. In recent months, we have seen an increasingly assertive Kim Jong Un testing long-range ballistic missiles, and a new U.S. administration threatening “fire and fury” in response. By examining North Korea’s history, JMU history professor Michael Seth, an expert on Korea, will discuss the country’s aims, the threat it poses, and what can be done about it. An open discussion with audience members will follow his presentation.
Thursday, October 5, 5-6:30pm | Wilson Auditorium, JMU
